Gujarat unseasonal rain forecast till 11th January

In Gujarat present atmosphere has chaned with bone chilling cold in several districts and rain forecast till 11th January. The current climate in Gujarat has changed. Rainy weather prevails in many districts with freezing cold. The unseasonal rains have been forecast till tomorrow, i.e. till the 11th. The cyclonic circulation created from the southeastern Arabian Sea to northwestern Madhya Pradesh as well as from there to the East Central Arabian Sea has affected many districts of South Gujarat. The highest rainfall of 2.87 inches was recorded in Dadiapada of Narmada district on Saturday and 1.29 inches in Umarpada of Surat district. Meanwhile, light to moderate rains in 15 talukas of the state have raised concerns among farmers.
Torrential downpour in Dediyapada taluka of Narmada district rained about 3 inches on Saturday from 6 am to 3 pm. Torrential rains have caused severe damage to crops of farmers in the area. Apart from it, 1.5 inches of unseasonal rain was recorded in Umarpada of Surat and 5.5 inches in Gurudeshwar of Narmada.
The low-lying areas were flooded due to heavy downpour. Due to unseasonal rains, the condition of farmers has become dire. Ready crops, including cotton, have suffered a lot.


Amidst the forecast of unseasonal rains in South Gujarat, for the second day in a row, areas including Tapi district including Vyara, Songadh, Dolwan, Nizar, Uchhal received rains. Scattered showers were also reported in scattered areas during day and night. There are fears of damage to caraway seeds, pigean pea, mung and vegetable crops due to unseasonal rains. It has been raining for two days and the world is in a state of anxiety.
According to the meteorological department, ‘Cyclonic circulation will lead to light to moderate rains in some districts of South Gujarat while cloudy weather will prevail in some parts of the state. Rain is forecast in Dahod, Panchmahal, Chhota Udepur, Dang, Narmada, Valsad, Tapi, Navsari, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli on Sunday. On Monday, Dang, Valsad, Navsari, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli may receive light to moderate rains with thunderstorms.
The temperature in Ahmedabad will be around 14 degrees for 2 days today and tomorrow. Possibility of mercury falling below 12 degrees has been expressed by the Meteorological Department.
