IKF The International Kabaddi Federation ,the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup will be held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat during Oct 7 to 22, the international federation said on Monday. Gujarat will host 12 kabaddi teams from USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Iran, Poland, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Korea, Japan and Kenya, besides hosts India. A special consideration of the International Kabaddi Federation in inviting these teams was to make the World Cup participated by countries from all the five geographies of the world. The World Cup matches will be held in Ahmedabad’s upcoming state-of-the-art stadium The Arena by TransStadia. IKF’s announcement to conduct the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup gets strong encouragement from the Gujarat state government.
