In Gandhinagar, Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama has informed that Semester System in HSC (Class 12) will continue for one more year, it was decided in view of benefit of students. However, Group B students will be given option added minister. On June 6, Gujarat government decide to abolish Semester system fro class 9 to 12. Also, from academic year 2017-18 decision of making JEE Joint Entrance Examination main as optional Common Entrance Test and introducing of GUJCAT in the education system was taken on June 6.
