On Tuesday Gujarat was just three short of recording the highest swine flu deaths in the country.
Total cases, 3,527 since January 1. But the truth is that Gujarat adn death toll has reached 231. Ahmedabad had 98 new cases; followed by Surat with 18; Sabarkantha with 10, and Gandhinagar and Banaskantha with nine each. When it comes to deaths, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar recorded two deaths each. Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Kheda, Amreli, Sabarkantha, Morbi and Porbander registered one death each on Tuesday. A state government press release said that 2,158 were cured of swine flu.
