Supreme Court granted stay on ban in 6 states Haryana, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.

Over protest by Rajput community and representation by Karni Sena, release of the movie was banned. It was slated for release on 25 January 2018.
