Today, Gujarat underwent first phase of civicbody polls for 6 Municipal Corporations including Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Vadodara, Surat,Jamnagar and Bhavanagar.
In Ahmedabad city areawise voting in terms of percentage remained as follows:
Dariapur 40.90%, Khadia 42.15%, Jamalpur 38.16%, Jodhpur 34.89%, Vejalpur 40.25%, Sarkhej 37.67%,Nikol 43.27%, Odhav 46.77 %, Paldi 35.25%, Vasna 39.41%, Navrangpura 32.76%, Thaltej 40.21%, Bodakdev 34.69%, Gota 37%, Chandlodiya 38.42% and Ghatlodiya 45.46%.
In many places, cases of voters names deleted from the list came up for which Ahmedabad Collector was approached, who permitted voters from Vadaj,India Colony, Jodhpur, Vatva, Chandlodiya, Ghatlodiya, Nikol, Lambha, Indrapuri can vote whose name not in the list.
Complaint of bogus voting in Vadaj came up in the city.
Congress leaders met Ahmedabad Collector with anomalies in the list.
