In response to a petition filed in Gujarat High Court on dispute over vote counting for Dholka seat during 2017 Gujarat Assembly elections.
High Court slammed Law minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama stating that he has submitted an affidavit as if he does not have faith in judiciary. Also, tomorrow Returning Officer Dhaval Jani of Dholka has been asked to produce CCTV footage in the court.
Chudasama had won Assembly election of 2017 only with a narrow margin of 150 votes and become Education Minister in Gujarat. Losing Congress MLA Ashwin Rathod moved High Court challenging miscalculation in vote counting and thereby cancelling the election in Dholka. The petition was turned down by high court.
