Ahmedabad: there is a threat of H5n1 virus in animals amid HMPV virus. Gujarat government issued advisory and informed Zoo to be alert.Instructions were given to take special care of animals at Kankaria Zoo. Instructions to take necessary measures including spraying medicine, no direct contact if any animal or bird comes from outside. Instruction given to prepare Isolation Ward ready in Asarwa Civil, Hospital in Ahmedabad, preparations have been made in Asia’s largest civil hospital for cure of HMPV virus infection.
A 15-bed Isolation Ward has been prepared in the hospital to deal with the virus, with Ventilators and Oxygen facilities. 25 Testing Kits have been kept in Civil Hospital, Administration alert in Prantij: alert made after getting positive of HMPV virus. An 8-year-old child developed symptoms of HMP virus. The child was admitted to a private hospital in Himmatnagar. Five beds ready including Isolation Ward in prepared in Himmatnagar Civil Hospital. Medicine, Oxygen and Isolation Ward facilities were made available.
