Plea of Advocate General was turned down by Gujarat High Court today. Plaintiff to move Supreme Court pertaining to petition challenging Prohibition Act. High Court stated that it cannot restrict on personal liberty of citizen like consumption of food at home.
Today Gujarat High Court gave important judgement with regard to petitions challenging provisions of the state’s Prohibition Act as contrary to the citizen’s rights to privacy, life and personal liberty as enshrined in the Constitution.
