On Wednesday in Ahmedabad, in response to a PIL filed by former IPS officer Rahul Sharma challenging the government’s decision Gujarat high court asked Gujarat government what it had to say on the contractual appointment of 2 encounter cops NK Amin and Tarun Barot. A bench of Chief Justice RS Reddy and Justice VM Pancholi directed public prosecutor to take instructions from the authorities on Amin and Barot’s appointments in police department after their retirement. Next hearing will be on November 16.
