Today in Ahmedabad, Gujarat High Court has issued strict orders to Home Department, RTO Road and Transport Organisation and Education Department to take strict action on excess carrying of students by School Van, School Rickshaw owners, in response to a PIL Public Interest Litigation. Police Department also has been ordered to have strict vigil and patrolling on such vehicles with a making special drive. HC advised state government to adequately implement policies framed in 2006.
