Gujarat GST Commissioner’s land purchase exceeding 600 acres in Maharashtra comes under scanner

Gujarat’s GST commissioner Chandrakant Valvi, presently serving at Ahmedabad, has purchased land at village in Kandati Valley, Satara District in Maharashtra, of more than 600 acres. It has become news sensation. Valvi hails from Nandurbar and currently post as Chief Commissioner of GST in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He has purchased land of entire village of Jhadani village near Mahabaleshwar in the name of his family and relatives.


According to sources, Valvi has also allegedly built an unauthorised resort on 40 acres of land, for which without paying to previous owners of land.
Satara District Collector Jitendra Dudi has now ordered an investigation based on More’s complaint, in which it has demanded demolition of the resort.
