In response to PIL Public Interest Litigation on land del with partners of Anar Patel daughter of Gujarat CM , today Gujarat government filed a reply to Gujarat High Court that even agricultural land can be purchased for non-agricultural purposes. It is not necessary to sale land through auction.
With this land deal there is no burden on treasury of government. This is an exceptional case. Cabinet has approved this deal. Also, it was permitted for tourism development. If there are any deviations in the process they cannot be construed as illegitimate.
