Gujarat Governor Om Prakash Kolhi addresses students and teachers on the occasion of Teacher’s Day today in Gandhinagar. 33 principals and teachers of Gujarat were awarded  on Teacher’s Day. Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel also blessed the occasion. 16 primary teachers, 6 secondary teachers, 5 higher secondary teachers and 6 principals of higher secondary schools wereawarded cash of Rs 21,000, a certification and a shawl in appreciation of their contribution in the field of education.

Teacher’s Day is celebrated on birth anniversary of former President, teacher, philosopher and scholar Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
