In a big Breaking News today, Gujarat government has announced a new electric vehicle policy in an effort towards environment friendly and eco friendly state. Gujarat Government’s announcement to make state pollution free.
Subsidy for electric vehicle is announced as follows :
Subsidy up to Rs. 20,000 for two wheeler
Subsidy up to Rs. 50,000 for three wheeler
Subsidy up to Rs. 1.50 lakh for four wheeler
Government is trying to make subsidized electric vehicles cheaper. Also subsidy for building charging stations will be given. Arrangements will be made for electric vehicle charging on the highway. A charging station will be set up to charge batteries of 500 e-vehicles.
Towards an attempt to actually implementing the policy in state, recently state home minister Pradipsinh Jadeja had launched 50 electric bus to ply from Vastral BRTS depot. Gujarat government has spent Rs 62 crores towards procuring Electric bus for passenger facilitation.
