In the recent cabinet meeting chaired by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel , it has been decided to give a big gift to all fixed salary employees of the state. It has been decided to increase existing wages of 61,560 fixed-wage employees of the state by 30 %. Rise in salary will be implemented with effect from 1st October 2023. The decision will increase burden of Rs.548.64 crores annually on Exchequer of state government.
With the decision of state government, existing monthly fixed salary of Class-III employees with 4400 grade pay will be raised from Rs. 38,090 to Rs. 49,600. Also, existing monthly fixed pay of Class-III employees with grade pay of 4200 and 2800 will be raised from Rs. 31,340 to Rs. 40,800. Existing monthly fixed pay of Class-III employees in grade pay 2400, 2000, 1900 and 1800 will be raised from Rs. 19,950 to Rs. 26,000.
Whereas existing monthly fixed salary of Class-IV employees having 1650, 1400 and 1300 grade pay will be raised from Rs. 16,224 to Rs. 21,100.
Fixed pay employees of the state have long pending demand and amid speculations of a 20 % increase in fixed pay, state government has given a 30 % hike. The salary hike in the state will be implemented from October 1.
