Today in Gandhinagar, Gujarat’s Energy and Petrochemicals Minister Saurabh Patel informed about formation of Gujarat Gas Limited with a merger of two major Gas companies of Gujarat, GSPC Gas Company Limited and Gujarat Gas Company Limited).
Saurabh Patel said that in Gujarat we have a Gas distribution network with 10 lakh customers and 225 Gas pumps. He added that Gujarat Gas Company would thus become Rs 10,000 crore company. Customers would be able to earn benefit out of merger of two major Gas companies of Gujarat. Indirectly Patel hinted at better stock value of Gujarat Gas Company, which would pass on to its investors.
In an attempt towards, Greener India, there is a plan to distribute City Gas to other states. Also, two lakhs new domestic connections and 25 new CNG Stations are planned in Gujarat.
Information about tendering process on Gas Distribution would be soon published in newspapers, said minister Patel.
