Gujarat Congress wins 40 seats in Taluka panchayat and 7 seats in District panchayat elections uncontested

Today in District panchayat elections, Gujarat Congress wins over 7 seats uncontested.
7 seats including Junagadh, Amreli, Anand, Chhota Udepur, Gandhinagar, Sabarkantha and Tapi district panchayats. BJP candidates did not fill up the nominations over 7 constituencies.

As per Gujarat Congress President Amit Chavda, 40 candidates have been elected on taluka panchayat seats. Chavda gave credit to partymen for their efforts and determination for today’s results.

Congress was dominating in 150 taluka panchayats out of 249 taluka panchayats said Paresh Dhanani.

Tomorrow there is a voting for remaining seats of district panachayats in Gujarat.

Congress ws dominating over 23 district panchayats out of total 31 panchayats and today have won over 7 seats uncontested.
There is a critical situation in 3 places, namely Dahod , Devbhumi Dwarka and Ahmedabad over voting for panchayat elections.

Candidates of Ahmedabad district panchayats have been moved to safer places by Congressmen and will directly brought to polling booth tomorrow.
