Gujarat Congress President Amit Chavda has written a letter to Gujarat Chief Minister regarding work done by journalists during Coronavirus pandemic and the journalists who lost their lives in meantime. Amit Chavda has called on journalists to declare their support for the 52 journalists who lost their lives as Corona Warrior.
I am sending this letter to draw your attention to a very sensitive and serious matter of the government’s special responsibility towards all Corona Warriors. You know how deadly was the second wave of Corona epidemic. It is government’s special responsibility towards all Corona Warriors who responsibly carry out their duties in crisis. Journalistic community is unfortunately asserting that these Corona Warriors are not a part of community.
According to the information gathered by journalists, about 3000 of their family members have also become infected and due to the infection of these media persons who were going in the infected areas for news in every corner of Gujarat. We all have a responsibility to these important media persons who are working to bring the government to people and problems of people to government.
