The delegation also threatened to approach court if no action is taken on the complaint. Chavda demanded action on the leaders, cops, goons, and anti-social elements involved in doing manipulations in the Lok Sabha elections. While talking to media, Chavda added that It is the responsibility of the Election Commission of India to conduct free and fair elections without any political discrimination. However the elections held on May 7 were manipulated by BJP Bharatiya Janata Party leaders, administration, cops, gangsters, bootleggers and anti-social elements. A complaint was also filed by our partymen against adoption of policy of discrimination. Certain goons were released on parole only for the sake of BJP and intimidate voters by mounting fear in the state, alleged Chavda. He further added that despite making written complaint and personal representations to ECI Election Commission of India on the issues, no action has been taken by the officer, no investigation or action has been taken till now.
Our representatives have met election officer and submitted a copy to her and cautioned that if no action is taken within 20 days, then we will move the court. A copy of all the previous complaints have been shared with her. A report before the vote counting has been ensured. Gandhinagar Lok Sabha Congress candidate Sonal Patel said that there has been a malpractice in the voting held on May 7. We have informed the CEO by email but no action was taken by EC. Malparctices like Minorities were prevented from voting and voters were intimidated. Voting in areas like Ghatlodia and Naranpura was sluggish till 4 pm, so our polling agents were sacked. Bogus voting took place where not a single polling officer reported in over 2,000 booths.
