Today on 15th day of Gujarat Assembly, on corruption in MGNREGA Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act there was uproar in the session. Congress MLA Ashwin Kotwal of Sabarkantha allegedly talked of Rs 200 crore corruption in non-payment of wages to labourers. Congress stated that MGNREGA is not properly implemented and wages to labourers are not paid properly. However, state government refuted the charges and clarified that corruption during rein of Congress was eliminated. Government is working towards strict implementation of MGNREGA in the state.
