Today in Gandhinagar, law minister Pradipsinh Jadeja has communicated that with Humanitarian approach Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has taken a decision to grant 15 days parole to prisoners and permit them to spend time with their families during Diwali. Gujarat government is committed to strict law and order in the state. Also, steps towards by giving training to prisoners on rehabilitation of prisoners after completion of their penalty and return to normal is attempted. As a welfare measure starting from Dhanteras Oct 28, parole of 15 days will be granted to prisoners with age above 60 years. The prisons with serious offenses and charged under TADA, POTA, indulged in terrorist activities, booked for antisocial activities, missing from interim bail, appeared late after bail and applied for bail in high court booked under CRPC 268 will not be granted 15 days parole.
