Gujarat CM Patel’s son out of coma; satisfactory progress as per Hospital

In a big relief, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s 37 years old son Anuj Patel, who suffered a brain stroke on April 30, has been taken off the ventilator. He is out of the coma, as per the health bulletin issued by PD Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai Monday.

“He communicates, is out of coma, and off (the) ventilator. CT scan done today is satisfactory. His vitals are stable. Though there is still a long road to recovery, it is indeed satisfactory progress from the condition he was brought in. Mr. Anuj B. Patel will be shifted shortly to alternative facility for prolonged rehabilitation,” the statement further read.

The hospital said that it will take time for his complete recovery. Anuj Patel is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU. It may be mentioned that on April 30, Anuj Patel was found to have suffered a brain haemorrhage. He was airlifted from Ahmedabad on May 1 and taken to Mumbai for further treatment. Currently, he is undergoing treatment as per advice of the doctors. He will be shifted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital of Reliance Industries, Mumbai for physiotherapy treatment today, Tuesday. He will be given physiotherapy treatment every fortnight at Kokilaben Hospital. After that they will be bring him back to Ahmedabad, and the rest of the treatment will be done in Ahmedabad.
