There was a proposal to convert parallel road between CH-0 to Ahmedabad Airport as 4 track road due to movement of VVIPs visiting capital city of Gujarat during state’s official events, International Tourism, Vibrant Gujarat like events involving foreign delegates and VVIPs passing from the road through Koba to Gandhinagar. For Rs 130 crore projects, tenders were also invited, lowest offer on L-1 bases process to initiate work with Akash Infrastructure had started. Yesterday, CMO cancelled the project and protected 6000 trees in Gandhinagar.
For protection of lush green environment capital city Ganhinagar and showing her admiration for environmental protection, Gujarat CM turned down the proposal to convert the road into a 4 track VVIP road at the cost of axing 6000 trees.
