Under the leadership of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, a grand Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel’s grand Investment Road Show in Tokyo, Japan was organized today in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, in presence of Japanese businessmen, Indian Ambassador to Japan, high officials and other dignitaries on the occasion of the upcoming VGGS Vibrant Gujarat Global Business Summit 2024 .
The Chief Minister Patel outlined the multiple achievements, initiatives and developmental policies of Gujarat which has become a ‘Role-Model of Environmental Development’ and a ‘Policy Driven State’ under the visionary leadership of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi before the dignitaries present. The Chief Minister referred to various ‘futuristic projects’ like GIFT City, Dholera SIR to be held with the theme of ‘Gate-way to the Future’ VGGS 2024 to explore the immense potential of development in Gujarat and knowledge sharing for global thought leaders, investors and policy makers on a global platform.
A meeting was held with senior officials of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC). During the meeting, discussion was held regarding opening of SMBC center at Gift City, Gandhinagar.
Had a meeting with Mr. Charles Kawashima, Vice President, Chief of Staff, Renesas Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd., during the VGGS 2024 roadshow in Japan. The Chief Minister discussed examining the possibilities of setting up company’s R&D center in Gujarat, which has emerged as a ‘Semiconductor Hub’.
A meeting was held with Yutaka Namiki, Executive Officer of Nippon Signal Company of Japan and the company’s expertise and various projects like high-speed railway between Ahmedabad and Mumbai in India were discussed. Chief Minister Patel informed about the role of Gujarat in giving impetus to ‘Make in India’ initiative of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
