Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel inaugurated Vibrant Navratri Festival 2023 in Ahmedabad

Today Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated Vibrant Navratri Festival 2023 in Ahmedabad in presence of state Governor Acharya Devvrat. CM acknowledged that Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has initiated this Navratri festival since 2011 to give global recognition to Garba of Gujarat and promote tourism activity with Garba culture globally. State Government’s Department of Tourism and Department of Cultural Activities has organised nine-days festival . Gujarat Governor and Chief Minister inaugurated festival on the occasion of Navratri. State Health Minister Rushikesh Patel, Tourism Minister Mulu Bera, State Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma and Ahmedabad Mayor Pratibha Jain, MP Kirit Solanki Hasmukh Patel and MLAs as well as Chief Secretary Rajkumar and senior secretaries, invitees and a large number of Garba lovers were present.

A multimedia cultural program and Maha aarti were organized on the theme of ‘Shaktirupen Sansthita’ As a part of main attraction of the Navratri festival, the state-level garba competition on the ancillary stage will start from 16 to 23 October every day at 6 pm.

Apart from this, a traditional sheri garba program has also been organized from 16 to 23 October every day from 9 pm to 12 am. Thousands of sportsmen will play garba to the melodious voice of garba singers and the rhythmic beat of musical instruments. Maha aarti is also organized from 16 to 23 October every night at 11:45 pm. From 15 to 23 October every day from 5 pm to 12 pm.

Major attractions including theme pavilions, craft bazars, food stalls, themed gates like AnandNagri, BalNagri, Sabarmati Ashram, Atal Bridge, Dandiya Dwar, ‘Diya’ and ‘Kalash’. Various places and events highlighting India’s historical, cultural and religious heritage like, Four Vedas, Ram Temple, Modhera Sun Temple, Chandrayaan, Tejas (plane), Glimpse of life of famous sportspersons, Nine Forms of Mother Goddess, Statue of Unity , an overview of various themed places including thematic tunnels has also been planned. Stalls will be set up with the aim of promoting the handicrafts of Gujarat and its artisans. Through which the citizens will get an opportunity to come face to face with the unique handicrafts of Gujarat and the artisans will also get a good platform to sell their products.
