Following which , Gujarat Budget for the year 2015-16 was presented in Gujarat Assmebly by Finance Minister Saurabh Patel.

Highlights presented during Budget by Gujarat govt:
Agriculture production reached to 93.82 lakh MT.
Encouragement to women in animal husbandary sector – Honored 6,375 women.
Guidance to 12,44,000 farmers in Krishi Mahotsav. Distributed 75,000 Kisan Credit Cards.
2,47,974 farmers benefited in Ravi Krishi Mahotsav. Assistance of Rs. 97.72 lakh given under various schemes.
Package of Rs. 1100 cr to the farmers. Allocation of Rs. 500 crore for 50% relief in agriculture electricity bill and Rs. 600 allocated for 50% relief in agriculture loan.
Construction of sub minor canal started in 54 districts at a cost of Rs. 2,000 to provide the benefits of Narmada water. Determination to complete the work in 4 months.
Center allocated Rs. 200 cr for ambitious Statue of Unity project and construction of first phase started.
