In Gujarat from today March 8, board exams of secondary and higher secondary school exams for SSC and HSC have started in which 18.75 lakh students will appear.
To avoid cases of copy in addition to CCTV cameras 5000 tablets will be used to monitor students giving board exams. Also, Flying Squad will conduct checks at examination centers. Arangements to directly send question papers to examination centers.
10.81 lakh students of SSC, 1.38 lakh students of HSC science sem-4, 1.41 lakhs of sem-2 whereas 5.14 lakh students of HSC general stream total 18.75 lakh students will appear this year for exams.
In the state, in total 1607 centers of 203 zones board exams will be taken out of which 149 centers are sensitive police has been deployed. By Gujarat board separate sitting arrangements have been made. Also in jails of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot and Surat arrangements for conducting exams have been made, in which 144 prisoners will appear for exam. Every year in board exam cases of copying and similar incidents happen, care has been taken to avoid use of smart phone, electronic watch, surveillance has been ordered. All invigilators, supervisors and other staff has been instructed to handle such situations, arrangements of helpline and control room facility has been set up.
All arrangements for peaceful and smooth examination have been made by Gujarat education board.
