Gujarat ATS seized illegal weapons before PM visit

AHMEDABAD: Gujarat ATS Anti Terrorism Squad has caught six accused who were running a racket of selling weapons in Gujarat by bringing arms from other states of India. Gujarat ATS has arrested 6 accused with 25 pistols and 90 live cartridges in a paralle operation at four places. In the operation main supplier of arms was also caught by ATS team. 6 accused in the custody of Gujarat ATS are suppliers of arms, who used to sell illegal arms in Gujarat from Manawar in Madhya Pradesh.


Importantly, 25 pistols and 90 rounds of live cartridges were brought to Gujarat for sale in the last 3 months. ATS has seized all these weapons and arrested Shivam Damor, main supplier of the weapon. Shivam had earlier given arms to Pravin Srivastava, Sanjay Mer, Raju Saravaiya, Vipul Sania and Manoj Chauhan. Therefore ATS seized 5 pistols and 20 rounds of live cartridges from Shivam and Manoj Chauhan. Remaining 20 pistols and 70 rounds of live cartridges have been seized from other 4 accused.
ATS team briefed media about primary investigation and findings in the illegal weapons case. In a Big success by ATS illegal weapons were seized before Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi’s visit to Gujarat for canvassing of Lok Sabha 2024 Elections.
