Gujarat Assembly’s brief 3 days long winter session started from 9th to 11th December in capital city Gandhinagar.
Important bills are likely to be tabled for discussion and approval by the ruling party and cabinet.
Yesterday itself Independent MLA Jignesh Mevani was suspended from winter session of Gujarat Assembly for shouting slogans.
Mevani told to media that Adivasis and Scheduled Caste and Tribe candidates should get united for their constitutional rights, he protested against Statue of Unity Authority Bill. Mevani burnt copy of bill in front of media. He raised concern that after approval of the bill SC, ST and Adivasis of Statue of Unity will not be able to do their business, it will be attack on their constitutional right.
