Gopinath Munde’s death:CBI probe demanded by Maharashtra leaders

Recently, Union Minister for Rural Development Gopinath Munde died in a car accident in Delhi. Munde’s death created many suspicion.

Union Minister Rajnath Singh has supported demand for CBI probe on persistance from Maharashtra BJP president Devendra Phadnavis in the matter.

Previously, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and BJP leaders such as Prakash Anna Shengde and Awadhut Wagh also made demand for CBI investigation.

Phadnavis along with Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari earlier  had met the Home Minister demanding a CBI probe into the death of Munde.

Munde, was going to the Delhi Airport to catch a flight to Mumbai when his car was hit by a Tata Indica on the Prithviraj Road five-point crossing around 6.20 am on June 03.Munde’s personal security officer Surender Nayar was sitting in the front next to the driver, Virender Kumar, and the minister was seated behind him on the rear seat.The Tata Indica skidded over 30 feet and hit Munde’s Maruti Suzuki SX4 with great force on the side where he was seated.Munde was accorded a state funeral and his mortal remains were consigned to the flames in Parali-Vaijnath, his birthplace in Beed district on June 04.
