Glittering Fashion Show in Ahmedabad Showcasing rich textile culture

Ahmedabad Times Fashion Week (ATFW) 2022 got off to a glittering start on Friday, which also witnessed a series of promising shows by next-gen young designers.

 An initiative of The Times Group, the BRDS Ahmedabad Times Fashion Week has been presented by Darwin Platform Group of Companies, organised in association with Jade Blue, powered by Asopalav, and supported by HSBC.

 The first show of the inaugural day was Garvi Gurjari, a collection of Gujarat’s rich textile heritages culture, and tradition. The collection, which showcases craftsmanship amalgamated with modern looks, comprises Royal brocade Ashavali, timeless Patan Patola, textures Tangaliya, earthy and subtle Ajrakh, intricate Soof, and rare detailed crafts like Saudagiri and Mata ni pachedi.

 The second show was BRDS, which showcased five collections, viz. Modern Memphis with bold patterns and retro colour palette, The Altalune that celebrates the opulence of the moonlight, Dazzling Dragons that depict majesty and royalty, Paradise Princess with elegant and bold clothing, and The Walking Willows, by students of the premier design institute.
