Today in Gandhinagar, Germany based Infineon launched its GCC Global Capability Centre at Fintech tower in GIFT City . The Centre was inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Fiscal incentives approval document was handed over by State government. Department of Science & Technology under Government of Gujarat launched Global Capability Centre policy 2025-2030 in February 2025 and Infeineon Centre in Gujarat is the first global capaibility centre under this policy to get approval and start its operations. The government supports Infineon investment in Gujarat with incentives in a spans of first 5 years.
A strategic partnetship MoU Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Infineon and IIT Gandhinagar.
State government had frameed its GCC policy recently. Jochen Hanebeck, CEO of Infineon Technologies AG was also present on the occasion along with other top officials from the company and dignitaries. GCC in Gujarat will be Infineon’s second GCC in India
Gujarat had unveiled its GCC policy had targeted to set up at least 250 new GCCs in the State, attract Rs 10,000 crore in investments and create 50,000 jobs.
