Leading Indian businessman Gautam Adani this week became the world’s third-richest person. It’s the first time an Asian person has been into the top three of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) set the tone for the future during its 45th annual general meeting, saying it would aim to double its market value by 2027.
Adani group has diverse businesses including port management, electric power generation and transmission, renewable energy, mining, airport operations, natural gas, food processing and infrastructure. T
he group has an annual revenue of over US$20 billion with operations at 70 locations in 50 countries.
