After discontinuation of currency notes by central government of Rs 500 and 1000 from circulation with effect from Tuesday night. At a toll booth near Modasa in Gandhinagar, all vehicles were lined up forming a long queue as staff at toll both denied to accept currency notes of Rs 500 and 1000.

Even petrol pumps have started refusing accepting of 500 and 1000 rupee notes.

Today however, Mansukh Mandavaiya Minister of State (MoS) in Ministry of Road Transport, Highways and Shipping has clarified that toll booth have been instructed to accept notes of Rs 500 and 1000 for next 2 days.
