The lowest temperature in Gujarat is usually recorded in Naliya of Kutch during winter. Last night it was replaced by Gandhinagar, as Gandhinagar recorded the lowest temperature of 4.3 degrees not only in the current season but also in January in last 10 years.
Recent cold wave in Gujarat has intensified due to impact of snowfall in northern India. Most cities in the state recorded temperatures below 10 degrees. Cold temperature in other cities including Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar has broken its last 10 year record. In most cities, people are affected by falling temperatures. As soon as the effect of Weather change Gujarat has turned into a hill station. The temperature has fallen in the capital Gandhinagar. The January low was recorded at 4.3 degrees Celsius.In Ahmedabad too, the cold with 6.7 degrees broke the record of last 10 years.
Sudden increase in cold has affected people’s lives – feeling of cold is still experienced in Gujarat state. In most cities the temperature is below 10 degrees. As well as the effect is being seen due to impact of snowfall in North India. And in the near future, the amount of cold is expected to decrease. Apart from Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, average minimum temperature in 9 cities was below 10 degrees. Cold has increased in the capital Gandhinagar. The lowest temperature in January was recorded at 4.3 degrees Celsius. In Ahmedabad too, cold with 6.7 degrees broke the record of last 10 years.
A sudden cold wave affected public life in Mount Abu, Rajasthan, with temperatures dropping to nine degrees Celsius in a single day, – 4 degrees Celsius and – 7 degrees Celsius in Gurushikhar.
‘Average minimum temperature in 9 cities besides Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar was recorded below 10 degrees. The cold wave will continue for next four days across the state and Meteorological Department has issued a “yellow alert” till January 28.
