Today Gujarat IAS Officer Mona Khandhar briefed held a press conference about G20 Empower Summit will be held during August 1 to 4 in Gandhinagar.
G20 Empower Summit will be held during August 1 to 4 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar and G20 Ministerial Conference on Women’s Empowerment is scheduled from August 2 to 4 under the theme ‘Women-Led Development : Ensuring a Sustainable, Inclusive and Equitable Global Economic Growth and ‘Women-Led’ Inclusive Development as a Cusp of Inter-Generational Transformation”.
More than 600 delegates from around the world will attend the meetings. Some women ministers, eminent speakers from India and abroad, G20 Empower delegates and representatives of various global organizations will join the meetings. G20 Empower delegates will attend the Summit.
Under India’s G20 Presidency on 31st July G20 Empower Chairman Dr. Sangeetha Reddy, Joint Managing Director, FICCI and Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd., and Aman Gupta, Co-Founder and CMO, Bot India (TBC), will begin with a discussion.
Cultural program will be held for G20 Delegates. Main event will begin on August 1, where Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs Smriti Irani and G20 Sherpa will launch G20 Empower Digital Inclusion Platform.
Shri Indevar Pandey, Secretary, Union Ministry of Women and Child Development will attend the inauguration ceremony; G20 Empower Chairman Dr. Sangeetha Reddy; Special dignitaries including UN Women’s Executive Director, Seema Bauhaus and World Bank Vice President, Lakshmi Shyam Sundar will be present.
A Plenary Session will be held in which Aditya Birla, Chairman of Center for Community Initiatives and Rural Development and Chairperson of FICCI CSR and Community Development Committee, Smt. Rajshree Birla, Chairman and Managing Director of SIDBI, Mr. Sivasubramaniam Raman and former CEO and MD of Hindustan Unilever and former Chairman of FICCI, Mr. Sanjiv Mehta will address the summit.
