India on Monday recalled fit-again batsman KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer to their one-day set-up for the Asia Cup, approaching to finalising of squad for the home World Cup later this year.
Wicket keeper-batsman Rahul (thigh) and middle order batter Iyer (back) have returned from injuries to join the 17-member Team India squad led by Captain Rohit Sharma and Vice Captain Hardik Pandya for the Asia Cup to be co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka from Aug. 30.
Yuzvendra Chahal Samson as spinner has been selected only as backup wicket keeper. Fast Bowler Umran Malik do not find place in Team India. Akshar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Jaspreet Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul included in the team. Four Gujarati players got place in the team.
