Marked as a historic event, foundation stone of ‘National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research’ – a paramount Institute was laid by Ananth Kumar, Hon’ble Union minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India Today on 16th of December 2015. Anandiben Patel, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat State and Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers also graced the occasion with their presence.
Nitinbhai Patel, Minister of Health, Medical Education, Family Welfare, Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Minister of Higher and Technical Education, Vasuben Trivedi, Hon’ble Minister of State, Higher & Technical Education, and Shankarbhai Chaudhari, Minister of State, Health, Family Welfare, Govt. of Gujarat were other distinguished guests to witness the foundation stone laying Ceremony of NIPER-Ahmedabad. Several other dignitaries like Central and State government officials, while Prof. Dr. Kiran Kalia, Director, NIPER-Ahmedabad delivered an Inaugural speech welcoming all the distinguished guests present on the occasion. She said, our industry will expand and it will require more skilled professional pharmacists which can be groomed to excellence by NIPER´s.
