Today on May 11 Food poisoning incidents were reported in Surendranagar and Jasdan of Gujarat. More than 30 people were affected in Surendranagar, including children, and 400 people in Rajkot fell sick. Lot of people were attended a wedding ceremony in Rojasar village in Limbdi taluka of Surendranagar. After consuming food at reception ceremony, about 30 people, including children, needed medical attention. Immediately children were rushed to Ranagadh PHC Primary Health Centre in Limbdi for immediate treatment.
In Gokhlana village in Rajkot more than 400 people including children were rushed to hospital due to food poisoning after consumption of some food items at wedding ceremony in Jasdan taluka. Health team of doctors and nurse checked patients and a team of doctors and nursing staff is also kept on standby after the incident. Food poisoning incident happened at a religious ceremony in Gokhlaana village in which more than 1,000 people attended it. About 400 people were simultaneously affected by food poisoning after consuming prasad . All people were frightened after the incident. Among patients were children between 5 to 10 years.Health department took samples of prasad offerings and initiated further action.
