Mehsana, just before Diwali Festival in an operation by Kadi Police a large quantity of fake ghee was seized. Based a tip Mehsana police seized big quantity of fake ghee. About 100 cans of ghee were seized for making ghee in the name of Dawat Pure Ghee.
fake ghee was manufactured by a company called Maruti Food Products. After the raid by police, Food & Drugs department is on run. Stock off fake ghee estimates around 25 lakhs.
