Joint operation of Gujarat ATS Anti terror squad and Indian CoastGuard
It is a very big seizure worth Crores of Heroin drugs consignment by Gujarat ATS and Indian CoastGuard. The value of such drugs in the international market is estimated at Rs 250 crores.
50 kg of Heroin seized from Indian waters
It may be noted that a few days back, a huge quantity of narcotics was seized from Mundra port of Kutch while investigating suspicious containers, in which more than 3000 crores drugs were busted and security agencies were also shocked. subsequntly a large racket was exposed.While Gujarat ATS has also started an investigation in arrest of seven Iranians with 50 kg of Heroin today.
Security agencies conducted an investigation
Over the last two years, packets of narcotics have been recovered by BSF jawans from the Sir Creek area. Some Pakistani fishermen have setup networks in India and especially in Gujarat by sea in the name of sea fishing. During 2018-2019, so-called Charas packets worth crores were seized in the international market . Further investigation is being conducted by DRI Directorate of Revenue Intelligence.

Kasab, mastermind of 26/11 terrorist attacks in Mumbai, also reached Mumbai by sea from Jakhau. Kuber boat owner was made hostage and killed the sailor after he reached Mumbai. Since then, Gujarat’s maritime security has been beefed up. However, drugs have been found in Sir Creek region of Kutch. Now that the powder brought from Afghanistan at Mundra port is being discussed all over Gujarat, other agencies have also been alerted.
