Once again, one more incident has come to surface of seizure of Cocaine from Kutch. Based on tip, DRI Directorate of Revenue Intelligence has seized 1.04 kg of Cocaine worth over Rs.10.4 crores. Nine Contriners in Gandhidham Container Yard was probed. Containers were imported by a company located in Mumbai. In unabated fight against drug menace in country, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence has recovered 1.04 kg of Cocaine from an import consignment. Its price in the international underworld market is Rs 10.4 crores. It is estimated to be more than Rs 10.4 crores. Certain inputs were received by DRI that there is a possibility of Narcotics in some goods imported from Ecuador. Bill of Entry BOE for Import was not filed for the consignment. Declared consignment consisting of ‘Teak Rough Square Logs’ (wooden logs) having a gross weight of 220.63 MT was imported from Ecuador at Mundra Port in Kutch. The consignment was identified for detailed investigation.
