Ahmedabad, August 23, 2021: Art practice of any form is often a rejuvenation from the daily rigmarole for students who are constantly on their screens, attending online classes. Breaking away from the mundane and letting their creative juices flow, students from some 26 schools across Gujarat participated in Kaavyotsav – a state level One Act Play Competition (Hindi), hosted by Delhi Public School (DPS) – Bopal. The event was virtually held on Saturday as part of Srijan 2021 – an umbrella event of DPS Bopal under which various inter-school competitions are organised by the school.
Young participants took the opportunity to exhibit their creative ideas and showcase their skills on the Kaavyotsav platform. The theme for performers of class 6-8 was ‘Bharatiya Swatantrata Sainaani’ whereas that for class 9-10 was ‘Prernadaayak Charitra’.
Gujarati theatre artist, Ms Lata Shah was the judge of the competition, held in presence of Mr Chaitya Shah.
Students’ performances were indeed a delight to watch as they wrote and performed their one act plays and the event truly had an everlasting impact on young minds. The results of the competition have been appended.

· 1st Runner Up: Hiya Patel, GD Goenka Int. School, Ahmedabad
· 2nd Runner Up: Bhavya Thakkar, St Kabir Navrangpura, Ahmedabad
