Ahmedabad, 30th March, 2021: Delhi Public School-Bopal on Sunday, observed Earth Hour for the twelfth consecutive year with an aim to tackle our planet’s biggest environmental challenge. The event is held annually encouraging individuals, communities, and businesses to turn off non-essential electric lights, for one hour.
A group of concerned students organized a campaign by sending messages in their respective groups requesting all to switch off all the non-essential lights from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Members of the DPS Family including Green Warriors and Green Teachers and admin staff joined the movement with great determination to contribute towards the ailing planet. Lights were switched off and students engaged themselves in various activities like playing with their siblings, indoor games and candlelight dinner using traditional energy and light resources like candles and earthen diyas instead of the conventional light bulbs.
