The incident was taken seriously by senior police officers who found 4 fetuses in a one week in eastern part of Ahmedabad city and instructed police to catch hold of the accused. In this case, Maninagar police has been successful in arresting one accused and resolved crime of throwing fetus found near Aavkar Hall. Police have arrested an accused named Chetan Shah owning a dispensary near a railway crossing near Cadila Bridge.
As per Police accused Doctor Chetan Shah performed an abortion on a pregnant minor girl who was four to five months pregnant and charged Rs 15,000 from her. After the abortion, the accused put the baby in a waste bag, packed it in a box and came in a Santro car to dispose fetus near garbage at Aavkar Hall.
