After Yaariyan, Divya Khosla Kumar is all set to shoot her next untitled starring Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam and Urvashi Rautela in the hills of Himachal Pradesh. The actress-turned-director has been on a reccee since the past few months and has finalised Shyam Negi’s residence as Pulkit’s house in the film. This will be the first film to be shot in his house. Shyam Saran Negi is set to make his Bollywood debut at the age of 97. India’s first ever voter (he was the first one to cast his vote at India’s first General Election in 1951), Negi is a retired school teacher who lives in Kalpa, Himachal Pradesh.He casted his his ballot for the 16th time in the general election held in May 2014. Buzz is that Mr Negi will also have a miniscule role in the film. Divya elaborates, “I fell in love with the house the moment I saw the pictures. Thanks to Mr Negi, luckily, I even managed to get the house for shooting my film. It will be a proud moment to have a house shot in the film which belonged to Independent India’s first voter.” The Yaariyan director came across a picture of the house online and went to Shimla and Kalpa, unaware of who the owner of the house was. The day of her visit coincided with the General Elections in the state, so media vans could be spotted in the vicinity. The movie produced by Bhushan Kumar goes on floors on December 22 and will be shot majorly in the North of India and Canada.
