Recently Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani and deputy chief minister Nitin Patel visited Ahmedabad Civil Hospital.
Gujarat Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister launched a low cost Ventilator Dhaman-1 indigenous developed by a Rajkot based company. The ventilator is costing less than one lakh rupees. It is prepared in a record time of 10 days. The company has offered first 1000 units of Ventilators to Gujarat government free of cost.
Vijay Rupani and Nitin Patel held a press conference and briefed media about the ventilator. Rupani said it has been launched at a right time, as we are passing through crisis of Coronavirus pandemic.
There were alleged complaints about improper functioning of Dhaman-1 ventilator.

At a press conference, Gujarat Health principal secretary Jayanti Ravi said the ventilators, with the brand name ‘Dhaman-1’ manufactured by Rajkot based company.
She said that DGCI License is not mandatory for low cost ventilator.
