Defaulting Class 1,2 officers of Gujarat to get Show-cause notice for not filing Annual property return

Today in Gandhinagar, Chief Secretary of Gujarat Government JN Singh said that Show-cause notics to  Class 1 and 2 officers would be served  who failed to file Annual property return.

Secretary Singh said that there are 900 to 1,000 employees of Gujarat government who have not filed annual property return despite of completion of deadline and its extension.

Employees were to submit return till January end, which was extended till March end and finally till April end.

IAS officers in the government has expressed concern over the situation.

Chief Secretary said that employees who have defaulted in complying with fulfilling norms of property return can submit it within 10 days or else provisions to stop salary of employees will be initiated and departmental enquiry will be setup against defaulting employees. Government will initiate legal action against those acquiring more property exceeding their income.
