On Sunday Ahmedabad Police commissioner GS Malik stated that 1,481 individuals with criminal antecedents, particularly those who were recently arrested in offence like bootlegging and snatching, will be placed under strict surveillance. Commissioner’s action against the accused involved in anti-social activities. 9 more people have been arrested and 10 criminals have been deported. Till now 220 criminals have been arrested. Total 24 criminals have been deported. Earlier, there was a practice to call accused to the Crime Branch Office every Sunday.
